We currently need the following:
Translators
blog updaters

We would greatly prefer translators to also be able to update the blog (aka post their translations to the blog).

Translator Requirements:
- Must be fluent in Chinese and able to put the Chinese of the news article into fluent understandable English.
- Must be a responsible individual who is actually willing to translate for us; don’t apply to be a translator just for the title and perks.
- You are not *required* to update the blog but, it is *greatly* preferred. If you do not want to though, we will understand.
- No, we do not want you up all night but yes, we would like some effort.
We as a way to help our translators do go out and find various articles that might be SJM/Han Geng related for them to translate, but we would also like translators to take the incentive to find news themselves. They’re the ones that know Chinese, the people that help translators find news do not know Chinese.

- You must know how crediting works. If you translate something for example you should always include as a minimum thirdchapter.org in your credits section. Also you must credit and link the article that you translated.
(we’re willing to go into detail and teach you these things if it is actually an issue).

Blog Updater Requirements:
- Must be willing to at least every other day go out and look for Super Junior M and Han Geng news and pictures.
- Must be able to tell the difference between a good article and a poorly written / inaccurate article. (example: if the article says “oppa” is used for younger men, avoid it.)
- Must know how to credit all sources and that hotlinking is bad.
- I don’t want to be doing most of the work like I am now, you must be willing to take your share of the load.

Hope Han Geng Is Not Hurt

Both belonging to Korean SM Entertainment, in relation to the departure of his hoobae Han Geng he feels much regret. “He is a hoobae singer who I really like, I hope to treasure our feelings. Han Geng is about to hold his first solo concert on 17 and 18 July at the Beijing Exhibition Theater. Today at 2.09pm, the official ticketing website, China Ticket Online, commenced selling tickets online for the first concert on 17 July and at the same time it opened up an online rush to buy tickets, all tickets were sold out in 37 minutes 16 seconds!

According to China Ticket Online’s description: So far this is the record for Asia’s quickest online rush for tickets. And the rush for tickets for Han Geng’s concert on 18 July will officially commence on 29 June at 2.09pm.

Han Geng plans to fight a large Korean agency to gain his musical freedom, writes METRO’s Xu Fan.

Singer Han Geng (or Han Kyung) wants nothing more than to throw away his mask and show his audience his true identity. The 26-year-old Chinese pop star, who has been developing his career in South Korea since 2001, actually had to wear a mask for a while when performing overseas because of broadcasting restrictions. Now, he is working hard to show his Chinese audience the man behind the mask. He strikes to become more successful on the mainland, even though that has meant embarking on a bitter lawsuit with South Korea’s biggest pop music producer and agency, SM Entertainment.

On a sultry Beijing afternoon this week, Han stood on the Mu tianyu section of the Great Wall and declared that he will not give up in his fight to sever ties with the agency and begin to control his own destiny.

“The Great Wall is a miracle in this world and the pride of our nation. I think it’s a perfect place to restart from,” he said.

Yesterday, Han Geng did not fear the distant journey and held his press conference on Beijing’s Great Wall in the Mutian Valley, this is the first time Han Geng was publicly interviewed since last December when he lodged his lawsuit against SM Entertainment with the Korean courts. Han Geng and his lawyer appeared together and explained the progress of the lawsuit currently and at the same time also announcing his soon to be released album “Geng Heart” and that his “Geng Heart” concert would be held on 17 and 18 July at the Beijing Exhibition Theater.

No Outcome Yet for the Lawsuit
Before Han Geng appeared, his representative lawyer first went on stage and explained the progress of the contract termination lawsuit between Han Geng and SM Entertainment. “Last year in December we lodged a lawsuit with the Korean courts with regard to a void contract, in the course of events SM Entertainment has adopted some strategies, for example confusing the evidence and during the start of the hearing adding representatives, the court had no choice but to postpone the start of the hearing again and again. In February this year the principal judge was replaced and the case was to be heard again. Also Korean law does not expressly stipulate date restrictions for the initial hearing, subsequent hearings or the final ruling.” Mr Lee very certainly said, even though the contract termination lawsuit still does not have any outcome at present, but they have already applied to the court “to maintain the temporary suspension of the contract”, as a result Han Geng can now use his individual status to release his album and hold concerts, which are all lawful. As to the future result of this lawsuit, Mr Lee indicated that they had confidence in winning, “in Korea there are precedents where artists similarly launched similar lawsuits and their contracts were judged to be void, we believe the law will make the same judgment.”

Yesterday Han Geng held his press conference at the Great Wall announcing that next month he will release his first solo album and also hold a concert

Han Geng, who after breaking away from Super Junior and going solo, will release his first individual album “Geng Heart” on 27 July, which symbolizes a “renewed” beginning to his performing career. 20 million yuan was spent in developing the new album, which was recorded in Taiwan, China and the US. The MV was also filmed in New Zealand. In Taiwan it will be released by “Gold Typhoon” and Han Geng will become the junior of his good friend Show Luo (Xiao Zhu).

Bringing New Album to Visit Taiwan in August

Han Geng was previously chosen as an ambassador to protect the Great Wall and recorded a cultural relic protection voice message for the Great Wall. Yesterday he held his press conference at the Great Wall where 5,000 balloons with the character “Geng” printed on them were released into the air. He announced that next month on the 17th and 18th he will be holding two solo concerts in Beijing and expects to see fans in Taiwan in August.

Han Geng was once the leader of the Super Junior sub-group, SJ-M, but in relation to SJ-M competing for best group at this year’s Golden Melody Awards, his manager stated that due to being too busy with work earlier, he was not clear about the nomination list for the Golden Melody Awards and would not respond.

Due to filming a cola CF together, Han Geng and Xiao Zhu became good friends. Besides welcoming Han Geng joining “Gold Typhoon”, he also revealed that the topic they both talk about the most is actually their “limited level of Korean”.
